Diamonds and pearls

Just returned home from a 3 day trip.
Great restorer. Lots of good ingredients. Looking for the recipe.

Tough few days as we dig through issues for the best path forward.

We had the right shovels. Let’s see if we have the stamina.

On the drive home 5 hours, 30 minutes.

This time is my debrief snd reflect time.

Friction is not the enemy.
In every business team, every leadership circle, every culture worth buildinf you’ll find a mix of personalities, emotions, fears, and unspoken expectations colliding.

Don’t run from it. (It chases you)
Don’t smooth it over too fast. (Let is simmer)
Don’t neuter your team with fake harmony. (These aren’t children)

Friction is how we get sharper.
It’s how trust is forged.
It’s how the real problems surface and how real solutions are found. When we stop lying and  hiding, can get to work.

Pressure makes diamonds.
Agitation makes pearls.
Friction makes teams that matter.

You want to shape culture? Start by making room for healthy friction.
Silence isn’t peace. It’s decay
