Dear Friend & Subscriber,
There is no such thing as overnight success.
The majority of Creators that seemingly grow their audience from zero to a million overnight typically have years of experience behind their craft.
And the rare few that actually go "viral" don't last long.
Real success is achieved through long-term investing.
In the corporate world, career growth is linear. As long as you put in the hours, you will eventually make your way up the ladder.
It doesn't work like this for Content Creators.
Just because a Creator puts in a month worth of effort, it doesn't guarantee a proportional outcome.
Creators must approach their work as something that may take years before seeing any results. Work that requires discipline and consistency.
Want to become a big YouTuber? The average channel requires 4,000 videos to reach a million subscribers. Want to become a Writer? Expect to be publishing a short essay every day for the rest of your life.
The key to this type of discipline is a focus on mental health, not hustle.
Hustle culture tells Content Creators to work hard and sacrifice everything in order to make it on the internet This is terrible advice.
Success as a Creator means building workflows that make you happy. It means building systems that will maintain your excitement five years into the future.
The Creators of tomorrow won't be the ones that hustled.
They'll be the ones that stuck with it.
They’ll be the ones who actually enjoyed the journey.
Best,
Maneetpaul Singh

I post a new essay every day, but to prevent spamming your Imbox I only choose to email a few of them each week. Here are my previous HEY World posts.
