Monday Conversation Starters

Dear Friend & Subscriber,

This is my weekly installment of Monday Conversation Starters. The place where I share my favorite tech and business news from the week.

My Top Headline: Vaccine Hunting

Earlier this week, Connecticut (where I'm based) opened up vaccines to anyone 16 and older.

I logged into the state system and the earliest appointment I could get was July 28.

As it turns out, there's a whole community of people on the internet helping others getting vaccine appointments. They call themselves "Vaccine Hunters and Angles." The idea is to help get as many people vaccinated, so appointments don't go to waste.

After discovering this Facebook group, I was immediately able to find some links to appointments available next week. How crazy is that?

Though this shortage won't be a long-term problem, it's still amazing to see the entire industry that has been created due to the pandemic.
