Doing hard things

Coaching is most often about making clients grab the lowest hanging fruit

1. Eat less
2. Move more
3. Learn to move well
4. Sleep better
5. Sleep more
6. Don’t eat out
7. Don’t let things get to you

But the greatest gains for you and your client are to be had by asking them to get used to doing things that are physically uncomfortable. Eat foods they don’t enjoy. Train harder than they think they can. And walk away from occasions they would thoroughly enjoy.

Needless to say with no needless risk and always with some control.

Once a client has been around for years, you will have to ask them to do hard, uncomfortable things. Just move more and learn to squat won’t cut it.

Simply because doing hard, uncomfortable things is necessary to make you stronger physically.

Better heart health, more strength and all things we admire in athletes or think of as necessary elements for high quality of life need you to work hard.
