But that's all just numbers. What really gives me a geeky tingle is seeing the hardware racked up and ready to rock. In the cloud, you never see what's actually yours. It's all opaque. Not so with your own gear.

I am a coach. That’s my primary identity. I don’t see myself as managing coaches. I happen to do that too with a laiseez-faire approach.
The fun part of running a gym is pitching people our service, walking them through why it is different, showing them how to perform exercises well, watching them progress and get stronger, enjoying using the equipment we make, make incremental changes to their eating and lifestyle
And the biggest kick I get: watching them go from thinking exercise is an important chore to actually enjoying the training hour.
