Too much money on the products

Are we paying too much for low quality protein?

Are we putting protein isolates in places where it is not necessary?

Are we relying too much on processed foods instead of using portion control to eat whole foods that can give us the protein, fiber and fat that we need?

Are our food safety and labelling norms lax ?

Are we behaving like children when we expect our protein to be fed to us or packaged in the form of flavoured sweetened powders, shakes, ice creams, candy bars, wafers and chocolates?

Are we reading labels well enough to understand how and what we are eating?

My personal policy:

40 grams of unflavoured whey protein in my cold coffee or mocha or buttermilk

4 eggs a day, Skyr, 1.5 cups of lentil , low fat paneer and cottage cheese as my whole foods to get to my protein quota

Supplements to get the omega 3 that I need

a Diet Coke once in a week just because I like the taste

Most of the stuff you find in shelves pretending to be high protein never contains more protein than a tub of eggs, Greek yoghurt, Skyr, low fat paneer, tofu or cottage cheese. They are not worth the premium you are paying.
