I just got back from a week-long trip around Costa Rica's southern zone and then up North to Nicaragua. I went with Eric, the other half of Traveling Gringos. I haven't been to Nicaragua since around 2016. I lived in San Juan Del Sur way back in 2004 and haven't been back since. Back then, the town was not that well known, and there weren't a lot of tourists or even much to do. A lot has changed! It is now a lively little beach town with a lot of cool bars and restaurants. One thing is for sure: it is a heck of a lot cheaper than Costa Rica. I filmed a lot of the trip and hope to post a video once I have time to edit it all together.
