Robbie Maltby

The word family is a bit like the word home.

It’s the bit in our centre. The place we go when we need comfort. Our security blanket, our launchpad, our crashpad.

Family gives us purpose, home gives us something to build, something to work towards.

Healthy families evolve. They’re connected, empathic, changing, forgiving, solid as rocks.

Like good friends, family members stick around. They’re in it for the long haul. The incentive? To enjoy each other’s company.

I’m lucky enough to have a family. We’ve been through many ups and many downs, some more recent (and spirit wrenching) than others, but we’re stronger than ever.

What better purpose is there?
