Struggle to be driven

Navigating the last six months has been challenging in many different ways. Constantly, ambiguity and hope come together to force me to pick a calm, stable path that carries no risk. Even months later, I'm bothered to tells me — maybe I'm not one of those who settles. I'm afraid of seeing a time when I might give up and not hustle in favor of family and financial conveniences.

One day, I woke to realize I was stuck on arriving at a place where every other team runs their tech stack to provide for customers. The next time that came along was dependencies that took weeks or even months to resolve. While this has caused frustration, to serve for adoption, we hired our own marketing teams to serve us. In no time, a combination of product, marketing, and engineering becomes its own unit, wanting to succeed against others for resources. Suddenly, what we label "politics" started brewing. The following person who joins the team stays disengaged because they do not see any way to see their work makes any difference. Not knowingly, I now live in a Bureaucracy. Suddenly, I figured out our product & engineering build lots and lots of features, but customers (our users — developers) cannot tell a single thing we shipped.

This is a story for almost all the companies in India and most in the rest of the world. The surprising part? All of us are, in one way or another, small actors in that story without ever realizing the big picture. As much as no one likes building companies like this, they end up this way. While over half of them do not know the right track when the right timing hits, the lack of expertise to execute the right way is missing enough to feel — it's too late already!

It's time to switch gears to prevent settling and start hustling to continue to be my kind.
