I’ve been watching Mare of Easttown with my wife this week. Still have a few episodes to go, but what great TV!

First off, Kate Winslet is her usual, brilliant self. I love the fact we get to see top notch actors in television series nowadays and not just films.
Beyond that though, it’s a fascinating crime drama set in a small Pennsylvania town. Mare (played by Kate Winslet) is a detective investigating a local murder while trying to keep her life from falling apart.
It’s a gripping, moody drama with all the everyone-knows-everyone vibes you expect in small town America.
It’s fair to say there’s not a lot of joy in this series! But if you’re after something intense and absorbing, you should give this one a watch.
