Well, shucks

It only took 2 weeks until I missed a weekly update, but I think it was fair enough - I've been busy. So here's an update covering the last 2 weeks.

This (last 2) weeks I:
  • Threw out Openclaw, and built my own personal AI agent completely from scratch using Claude Code. For the most part it can do everything Openclaw was doing for me and how I was using ChatGPT. I'll write about the rebuild, but here's my original thinking on a personal AI agent.
  • Picked up my mountain bike from a friend, rode daily, and also went on a 21-mile mountain bike ride in Taupo.
  • Won an award at a farm (ask me about that later).
  • Drove and spent 2 days with aging grandparents, took them on errands and to the coast.
  • Build something cool with K'NEX, and wrote about it! What a throwback.
  • Finally made a home on the internet for some of my nerding out with diagrams about work and product management.

This (last 2) weeks I didn't do:
  • Re-write of one of my old apps I wrote prior to vibe-coding took the world by storm. It is on my radar, but instead I just went deep down the "building my AI agent" rabbithole.
  • Hypertrophy workouts, but I have something so much better in flight, and that's helping with fitness.

Next week I'll:
  • Make big moves on packing up my life and shipping it overseas - getting rid of things, downsizing, all that fun stuff.
  • Write about "Ki 2.0", the AI agent custom-built for Callum R.
