Jensen Huang + TK

EDIT: here's an explainer for folks who find the below terribly reference-heavy or dense, but still want to grok it ;) perhaps without clicking all the links and watching hours of things i watch.

~~

Happened to consume two podcasts yesterday which deserve a quick shoutout. I should probably explain myself more than when I recently mentioned Jeff Bezos. Side note: my bedside book today is We the Living.

Jensen and Travis get way less press than Elon, Zuck, Gates, etc. It's obvious for historic reasons why this might be the case for some of them, good or bad, just like Palmer. Also, for the most part these guys simply cannot afford to spend time caring what the masses think, inside their own value systems at least. But sometimes they are forced to.

Let's go in the order of gratitude then curiosity. Side note: thanks again Efe, for this amazing expanded 15-point list I so so love it. Continuing to reflect on it all, esp as relates to Wendy...

I'm absolutely floored by Jensen's aura. Not only do all other billionaires just unilaterally respect and admire him, publicly too like Keanu or something, but you can just see in clips and his interviews like the one I watched yesterday how thoughtful, optimistic, respectful, gracious, blah blah blah, fucking amazing he is. Cleo's jacket was a nice touch too. The man is literally saintly, radiates gratitude without saying it at all.

Travis also has a rather zen way of existing, but especially towards the end of the most recent All-In pod, when he was explaining his "lake life" and backgammon hobby, it struck me as completely bonkers for someone like him to go into a room full of nerds and not be recognized except as the new owner of eXtreme Gammon. Wish I was in that room, another Keanu moment. His curiosity clearly takes him interesting places.

In the fullness of time, you are what you do.

What you say is so secondary...
but certainly correlated, at least in how you say it.

p.s. instead of "Billionaires" as a label, I think our culture could perhaps substitute "allocators of capital and creators of jobs" or simply the term "Leaders".
